Privacy Policy

Ark Tattoo (“Ark Tattoo”, “we”, “us”) runs tattoo studios in Los Angeles, California, offers mobile tattoo visits across the United States, and refers clients to partner studios. This policy explains what we collect when you use ark-tattoo.com or book with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Booking details you give us: your name, US mobile number, the service, artist, location, date and time you choose, your state, and for mobile visits your visit address.
  • Design details: your tattoo idea and any reference images you upload.
  • Age confirmation: that you are 18 or older. We check photo ID in person; we do not collect ID online.
  • Ad and visit information: the page you arrived on, campaign tags (such as utm_source) and ad click IDs (from Meta, TikTok, Google or Snapchat), plus device and browser data collected by cookies and pixels.

We do not take card or payment details online. You pay in person at your session.

How we use it

  • To confirm, schedule, reschedule and carry out your appointment, and to prepare your design.
  • To message you about your booking by text message or iMessage. We do not call or email clients.
  • To send flash drops and guest-artist dates, only if you tick the optional marketing box.
  • To measure which ads bring bookings and to show our ads to people who may be interested.
  • To keep records required for a licensed tattoo practice and to keep our site secure.

Text messages and iMessage

By booking, you agree to receive texts or iMessages from Ark Tattoo at the number you give, about your reservation. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop messages and HELP for help. We never sell or share your mobile number or texting consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

  • Our artists, so they can prepare and do your tattoo.
  • Partner studios, only when you choose “Partner near me”. We send them your name, number, idea, references and preferred date.
  • Service providers that run our site and messages, such as our web host and email delivery provider.
  • Advertising platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, Snapchat) through their pixels, to measure and improve our ads.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Using ad pixels may count as “sharing” for cross-context advertising under California law; you can opt out as described below.

Cookies and pixels

Our site uses cookies and pixels from the ad platforms listed above to count visits and bookings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can change ad preferences inside each platform’s account settings. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are treated as an opt-out of sharing.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide your service and meet health, tax and licensing record requirements, then delete them. Reference images are deleted when they are no longer needed for your design.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sharing it for advertising. Residents of other states may have similar rights under their state’s laws, and we honor these requests for every client. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Age

Our services are for adults 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to booking records to the people who need them. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we work to protect yours.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
